I graduated from Georgian College and completed my provincial registration exams to earn the title “Registered Massage Therapist” in 2012. I had been practicing in North Bay for three years prior to my move to Orleans.
What I love most about my job is the impact I can have on a client with just an hour of their time. I strive for perfection with each treatment, and will constantly work to make each massage my best work.
My style of massage is mostly therapeutic, with varying levels of pressure depending on client needs. Myofascial release and gentle stretching are commonly incorporated into each of my massages, depending on the goals of the treatment and comfort level of my clients. Client’s tend to come to me for deeper pressure, but I always assess a client’s situation before deciding what type of massage will yield the most benefit. Remedial exercise is key to my treatment plans. I believe most clients can benefit from regular stretching and strengthening between treatments.
I have extensive experience in treating postural dysfunction, thoracic outlet syndrome, sciatica, repetitive strain injuries and chronic headaches. I consider a person’s overall health when creating a treatment plan, and cater each massage to the individual. I live an active lifestyle, and as such have grown to understand the many repetitive injuries that come with playing sports. You can expect a friendly face and a calm atmosphere during my treatments.
