After studying for two years, I completed an intensive 2500hr massage therapy program at Kine Concept Institute. In October 2006, I became a professional member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and a licensed practitioner.
My training at Kine Concept was very hands on, and I had the opportunity through the student clinic and various outreach programs to work with very diverse groups of people. I have worked with women both pre and post delivery, with athletes, with palliative care patients, and with those suffering from overuse injuries.
As a massage therapist I incorporate a variety of gentle and deep techniques into my treatments such as Swedish, stretching, trigger point therapy, and passive movement to achieve the best possible results. I enjoy meeting new people and working one on one with my clients to determine which of techniques work best for them. I believe that everyone can benefit from massage therapy, whether it is to decrease stress, or to prevent and treat injury.
